Take in a panoramic view of the San Francisco Javier Battery, visit San Pedro Claver Church and watch a presentation of folkloric dances on this varied introduction to Cartagena.
Your tour starts with a panoramic view of the San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, situated outside the walled city. This monumental fort (1536) is considered to be the most outstanding feat of Spanish military engineering in the New World.
On entering the Walled City, you will take 15 minutes for photos at the San Francisco gun battery.
Encounter the 16th century firsthand with a walk past the city's beautifully-preserved colonial houses, churches, squares and museums. Narrow streets are shaded by flower-bedecked balconies. Watch for the Plaza de Bolívar, where the Inquisition Palace, Cathedral and Gold Museum are located.
