Starting from the Rome of bars, trattorias and true Roman life, we will cross the Jewish Ghetto living its history and arrive in the Rome of the great monuments, from the Spanish Steps to Castel Sant'Angelo, Pazza Navona, Pantheon and Colosseum.
Starting from Piazza Trilussa (that takes its name from the famous Roman Poet), the tour will go deeper in the guts of Trastevere, touching places as Holy Mary in Trastevere and P.zza San Callisto, a very tradional panorama will fulfil their view.
Here you will taste a must of Roman cuisine: Piero’s porchetta! Then you will head towards Trastevere, passing by the Tiber Island, a mini island in the middle of the Tiber River. Entering the medieval part, you will enter the heart of Trastevere, where you will visit a family-run oven, one of the oldest and best known in the neighborhood, to taste the famous “supplì”, the inevitable protagonist of Roman street food. It is a large rice ball filled with sauce, cheese and melted mozzarella, breaded and fried.
Once on the ground again, second walking tour will start, and they will walk down an amazing baroque Rome, Navona Square, with its super famous fountain of the 4 rivers, and the Pantheon, here they will have a little bit of free time for lunch.
After the free time, group will be led to an incredible crossing through the city, that will be about 2km and will pass close by Quirinale Palace where the Italian President lives, and then will turn to Via Dei Serpenti, one of the most interesting and charming street of Rome, where the past and the contemporary life mix up in an amazing game of colour and flavours.
At the end of it, the breathtaking view of the Colosseum will catch the group's interest, in fact they will pop up on the top of Collo Oppio, where they can have an unforgettable photo stop, and then do all the way down the Colosseum. After this, the bus will wait for them on Via Claudia to bring them back to Civitavecchia.
