Geiranger is one of Norway's best-known resort areas. Your coach will climb the winding mountain road, offering an ever-changing kaleidoscope of mountain farms, waterfalls, lakes and streams.
From Lake Djupvatn (Deep Lake), you will continue up the hairpin road to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba, offering a spectacular view of Geirangerfjord (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) far below and the magnificent mountain peaks all around.
From the summit, 5,000 feet above sea level, you will drive back down the same road, stopping at the Flydal viewpoint so you can take a photo of your ship down on the fjord.
Back at sea level, continue to the north side of the fjord to drive up the Eagle Road as far as its famous viewpoint. The Eagle Road's eleven hairpin bends are carved into the mountainside and inspire a healthy respect for the engineering skills of the Norwegians. From the top, you can see the famous De Syv Søstre (the Seven Sisters) waterfalls before you return to Geiranger via the same route.

In Spring (April & May), some viewpoints or attractions are inaccessible due to snow, causing roads to remain closed; this varies greatly from season to season. An alternative viewpoint or attraction may be substituted. The onboard Shore Excursions team will provide the latest details approximately 48 hours prior to the call at Geiranger. The Mount Dalsnibba road may close at short notice in adverse weather conditions. Views are weather-dependent. Minimum age is 12 years.
