Get serious with four hours on the water and a knowledgeable Coast Guard-licensed captain. This premium Alaskan salmon-fishing charter is a chance to learn from the best all about the migration patterns of the salmon as well as the most effective way to catch them. The captain takes you to some of the best local hotspots to fish. Make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime fishing adventure -- it's designed for all experience levels and suitable for friends or families of all ages to come along. Party size is limited to six guests.
You'll troll specific areas for seasonal salmon fishing. Target one species or, depending on the time of year, go for the grand slam and attempt to catch all five -- king, silver, sockeye, pink and chum.Snacks and bottled water are available throughout the tour. Your captain can arrange for any fish you catch to be professionally processed locally (flash-frozen) and shipped to your home for an additional charge.
The boat has an enclosed, heated cabin, comfortable seating, plenty of viewing space and a restroom.
Catch a fish? Now enjoy every bite, perfectly prepared by our expert chefs and served to you on board your ship. The Savor My Catch program is a true ocean-to-fork experience and is available with this fishing adventure.
Notes:
Tidal conditions can make the dock ramp very steep. Trolling involves using a downrigger to lower the bait to a specific depth. There are two downriggers that hold up to four fishing lines; when conditions allow, two more lines will be used for a potential of six fishing lines out at once. Fishermen are rotated or assigned rods depending on number of lines so that everyone has a fair chance to catch a fish. A light snack and water are provided. Minimum age is 5 years. Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring gloves, a scarf and a warm hat. Guests who choose to have their fish processed and sent home (to US only) will need to bring their credit card to pay for processing. A catch is likely but is not guaranteed. The Alaska Department of Fish & Game implements conservation measures to protect king salmon; restrictions on keeping your catch may apply. Please check directly with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game for restrictions specific to your tour date. Only fish species that do not have restrictions in place can be shipped home or delivered to the ship for Savor My Catch.
