See the best of San Diego on land and in the water. Take your seat on the Coast Guard-approved San Diego Seal -- an open-air amphibious vehicle driven by an experienced captain and specially designed to be used on land and in the water. Your 90-minute journey begins on the streets of San Diego and is narrated by the first mate, who lives in and loves San Diego and has a vast knowledge of things to do and see. You'll hear about San Diego's rich history and see the Maritime Museum, where Star of India --the oldest active sailing vessel in the world -- is docked. Watch for U.S.S. Midway, Lindbergh Field, Little Italy, and many other San Diego attractions.
Your tour then takes a fascinating turn as you drive straight into San Diego Bay without missing a beat or moving from your seat. The Seal glides past resident San Diego sea lions and California brown pelicans. You'll take a leisurely cruise to see Point Loma with its beautiful mansions lining the hillside, the North Island Naval Air Station, Submarine Base, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Marine Mammal Training Center and Shelter Island.
