Board an air-conditioned coach for an interesting panoramic drive down the island's West Coast to the town of Soufrière. Your knowledgeable guide will highlight the island's historical, natural and cultural characteristics as you travel past lovely colonial-style pastel houses.
A long, tree-lined drive leads to the Soufrière Estate tropical plantation. Bask in its therapeutic mineral baths, soothing your senses in the warm, refreshing baths whose medicinal properties are reputed to match those of Aix les Bans in France. Stroll through the Botanic Gardens to visit the pretty waterfall.
Step into the historical ambience of the Old Sugar Mill, with its massive waterwheel (1765) once used to crush the sugar cane and supply electricity to the town of Soufrière.
Enjoy a tasty Creole lunch and relax in the shade before the drive back to the pier.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk.
