If you've always wanted to pedal around Charlottetown on a group-powered bicycle-bus that doubles as a bar on wheels, your moment is now! Take your place at the bar on the 14-passenger bike-bus, seated across from your friends and fellow travelers. The bar-bike-bus sets off with you pedaling, music playing, a lot of laughs, and a commentary from your sober-driver guide. No doubt you'll be an enthusiastic pedaler at first, but feel free to rest on your laurels at any given moment, as this is (thankfully) an e-bike and will self-compensate if your pedaling enthusiasm wanes.
Enjoy two 30-minute pauses at pubs or restaurants with food and drinks served for thirsty riders.
Back on the bar-bike-bus, clear rain shields deploy if needed to keep you warm and dry, and there's a cooler for ice-cold drinks and USB charging ports. Watch for St Dunstan's Basilica, St James Presbyterian Church, St Peter's Anglican Cathedral, All Souls Chapel, the Great George St historic district, Province House, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, Victoria Park's cannons, the Irish Settlers Monument, Government House (the birthplace of Canada), and Beaconsfield Historic House.
Your tour begins and ends at Founder's Food Hall & Market, just steps away from your cruise ship.
Notes:
Additional drinks are available for purchase on the pedal bus (at your own expense). Wear comfortable walking shoes (heels and flip-flops are not allowed). Photo ID required to purchase alcoholic drinks. Minimum age to drink alcohol is 19 years with a companion aged 21 years or older.
