Here's an opportunity to head away from the city and explore on foot the surrounding countryside and woodlands.
A panoramic drive takes you through the city center before you head out of town towards Sverresli. Enjoy views of the fjord and wood-clad hills before reaching Bymarka. This is an area of natural landscapes with contrasting scenery -- a haven for the people of Trondheim in both winter and summer.
A nature hike takes you through forestland, past small lakes and open landscapes. The highest point is Gråkallen Hill, some 1,700 feet above sea level. From here, take in the spectacular view over the fjords. On a clear day, you may spot the distant mountain chain that forms the border between Sweden and Norway.
Notes:
Tour requires approximately 1.5 hours of walking. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking, as the walk is uphill, over unpaved, uneven terrain with many steps. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Bring sunscreen and bottled water. Minimum age is 8 years.
