Travel to Uluwatu Temple, stopping en route at a local arts and crafts gallery. Take your time browsing in case there is a piece here that calls your name. Next, continue to the southernmost part of the island where the Temple of Uluwatu stands high atop a cliff overlooking the ocean. This temple is among the 6 most important temples in Bali and is held quite sacred by the Balinese people. Keep a sharp eye out for the very uninhibited 'locals', the macaque monkeys whose ridiculous antics will keep you both enthralled and on your toes.
You've worked up an appetite; now head to Jimbaran Bay, where hundreds of fishing boats take to the water every evening. The views of this bay are simply stunning, matched only by the delicious and colorful seafood meal served here.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
