Panama and its mighty canal are inextricably bound -- it is virtually inconceivable that the one could exist without the other. Today you will discover why so many have dubbed this extraordinary marine highway "the Eighth Wonder of the World" and why few would beg to differ.
Board a canal boat from the dock adjacent to the tender pier. Once aboard, you will head directly for the Panama Canal, passing through the Miraflores Locks and Pedro Miguel Locks, raising your vessel to 85 feet above sea level.
An on-board commentator will give full details about the locks and the famous Panama Canal. You will disembark the day boat near the newly built Centennial Bridge, just after clearing the last set of locks, where a coach waits to take you back to the ship.
Notes:
Tour is subject to Panama Canal Authority scheduling. Your time aboard the vessel and in the canal will last approximately three hours, depending on the number of other transiting vessels.
